This is complimented with the violent but apparently glorious history of man which Lives provides, giving VC a varied and balanced view of what beauty there is in human nature, and what horror there is, too. Paradise Lost is another book which VC stumbles upon; though this teaches him little in it self, the parallels which VC draws between its key characters and himself are important; he can see different aspects of each in himself. This shows the how VC has learnt to take something from a book and place into a real-life situation (I ought to be thy Adam, but I am rather the fallen angel, whom thou drivest from joy for no misdeed). By far the most important part of VCs education is his learning to speak. Though it has been proved that it is impossible to learn language in the fashion that VC does, we must remember that this is just a novel. In his learning to speak, VC gains the ability to articulate the feelings inside him, the ability to read and the ability to communicate his dreams. He learns as Safie learns, being taught by Felix. Being taught to speak and listen to speech opens the door to all other avenues of Frankensteins learning; his learning about humanity is increased tenfold after this. Whether this is a curse or a blessing, however, is left for us to decide after learning how to speak and read, VC sees just how outcast he is, just how far outside the circle of love that is there between Safie, Felix, Agatha and the old man. Once he can see the extent of his loneliness, and can grasp what potential there is once he learns that there is more to life than suffering he is gripped by an insatiable desire to be a part of society. I always thought learning how to drive would be easy until one afternoon when I was 14 I decided to teach myself how to drive. I found out that afternoon that driving is not that easy and cars arenââ¬â¢t made for running into ditches. From my experiences and others experiences I have found out that it is not easy to learn how to drive. à à à à à When first learning to drive you will definitely need a car and a person to teach you how to drive. I found out that if you first learn how to drive a manual itââ¬â¢s a piece of cake to drive an automatic. If you start out with learning to use a clutch then you have already got the hard part out of the way now you just have to learn the rules of the road. à à à à à After you learn how to drive a manual it will come so natural to you that you will wonder why you werenââ¬â¢t able to figure it out. First off to drive a manual you need steady feet and good hand eye coordination to shift. To start the car push in the clutch (far left pedal) and turn the key away from you. After starting the car keep the clutch in and put the shifter into first gear. Slowly let your foot off the clutch until you can feel a catch, and then apply a little gas to get the car going. Madness in Love in William Shakespeareââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"Twelfth Nightâ⬠There are many definitions for love, but there are also many definitions for madness. Both words, when joined together, create an endless possibility of emotions and actions one can bare to hold for the sake of another. Madness can be described as ââ¬Å"senseless follyâ⬠. When a person is in love with another, they tend to define their feelings of passionate affection for this other person. Shakespeareââ¬â¢s concept was to involve some of his characters with this feeling. In Twelfth Night, madness is created by the misconception and misunderstanding due to love. Mainly, it is said that Love is one of the most significant types of madness. It leads to causes like confusion and chaos in mind, mentality, and behavior. In the Twelfth Night, the Duke Orsino falls madly in love with Olivia. Orsino describes his love towards Olivia deeper than he could imagine, ââ¬Å"So full of shapes is fancy, that it alone is high fantasticalâ⬠. Orsino loses his focus on reality as he says ââ¬Å"For such as I am all true lovers are. Unstaid and skittish in all motions else, save in the constant image of the creature, that is beloved. â⬠(P. 34) The only thing that is real for him at the moment is anything that has to do with his ââ¬Å"beloved creatureâ⬠, the beautiful Olivia. We also see Oliviaââ¬â¢s senseless acts come to play as she finds herself smitten after her first encounter with Cesario: â⬠I do I know not what, and fear to find. Mine eye too great a flatterer of my mind. [â⬠¦]What is decreed must be ââ¬â and be this so! â⬠(P. 24) Olivia finds herself unable to think properly because she is so distracted and flustered by the attractive looks of Cesario. Another interpretation could be that Oliviaââ¬â¢s affection has been taken and used up by Cesario due to the loss of her brother and she refuses to share her love with anyone else. Later on in the play Malvolioââ¬â¢s madness changes from the state of being madly in love and committing crazy acts of devotion to the state of being in madness or chaos because of the misunderstanding of the situation. He thinks it was Olivia who wrote the trick note when it was really Maria, Toby, and Andrew who tried to trick him. They created a letter, pretending to be Olivia, telling Malvolio what will make her happy. The letter did not even state that it was Olivia, but because Malvolio was excited to gain her favor he jumped to the conclusion that it was her. Malvolioââ¬â¢s infatuation for Olivia was so great it clouded his ability to think properly. ââ¬Å"Daylight and champion discovers not more! â⬠, is Malvolioââ¬â¢s first comment as he finished reading. He was so desperate to please Olivia and gain her love, he jumps straight to the conclusion that she wrote the letter for him. The little acts of devotion Maria mentioned in the letter were so absurd Malvolio was willingly ready to fulfill all of them: ââ¬Å"I do not now fool myself, to let imagination jade me, for every reason excites to this, that my lady love me. I will be strange, stout, in yellow stockings, and cross-gartered, even with the swiftness of putting on. â⬠(P. 44) Malvolio enters into a state of madness and confusion because he feels no one else knows what he is talking about. Whether madness was created due to acting foolishly because of an infatuated feeling or acting with intense emotion over someone you really care about, all these situations were because of love. In the words of Friedrich Nietzsche, ââ¬Å"there is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madnessâ⬠. Shakespeareââ¬â¢s characters Orsino, Olivia, and Malvolio, all had a cause for their madness, and it was because of their love for somebody else. Sometimes it is a feeling that comes over you that you think is love but it doesnââ¬â¢t have to mean that it is simultaneously true.

My First Observation Of The Middle Childhood - 1182 Words
Middle Childhood. Isabella is a 7 years 10 months old girl, who was born premature in Norman-Oklahoma; when she was born weight 4 pounds and 5 oz. and her height was 17.5 inches. I knew by her mom that she spent only 8 days in the NICU at the hospital before coming home with them. I observed Isabella in her house, she live there with her mom, dad, a fish and a dog. The observation was realized when I was visiting my friendââ¬â¢s house; I observed the girl in her environment for approximately two and half hours. My first observation was she spend time making craft from her own inspiration and enjoy to gifting them to her parents. She was very talkative, independent and active girl. Observation. Physical Development: Observing Isabella physically she looks like a normal girl for her age. Isabella weight 60 pounds and height 49 inches. She has a good walking balance, and she has a good hand-eye coordination. I observed Isabella played ball in the barnyard with her mom, and she was capable to catching the ball, jumping and running with a coordinate movements. This observation compare to typical development are the expected for a seven years old girl. Cognitive Development: Isabella is studying second grade, she is doing very well in her class.
